L ast week we mentioned Kabbalistic Astrology as a tool to gain greater control over our lives. Right now we’re in a key time for planting seeds. This takes place with every word and action, which has a corresponding effect. We must be looking at the ways we plant — how we speak, what we do, how we do it — in order to have a better harvest in the coming year.
Caring for our spiritual growth is not unlike being a farmer: there’s a time to plant, a time to nurture the seeds, a time to harvest and a time to let the land lay fallow.
During the coming month of Libra, which on the kabbalistic calendar begins this Thursday, is the time when we take care of the field. We must water the field. We must remove the insects and any other things that will inhibit the growth of our seeds. And in about a month from now, we’ll begin the harvest.
A farmer can decide not to plant, but then they need to know that they won’t have anything to reap later on. Similarly, if we don’t utilize this time in the best way possible, we won’t enjoy the best fruits during the year.
There are other cosmic windows of time which give us an opportunity to ‘genetically modify’ some of the seeds we’ve planted. But that’s for later…
Imagine if all of us, even for just this week, could look at our motives and their repercussions before we speak and act. Then we can shift the way we do things. If we remove hatred, jealousy and negativity from our ‘field’, then the Creator will come and remove the obstacles we cannot foresee from this year’s harvest.
All the best,
Yehuda
